After a bit of a somber flight from Paris to Munich, we checked into our hotel, and immediately (like within 10 min) were out the door and walking along the Isar river, the anchor of Munich in many ways. During the summers you can find hundreds of locals sunbathing on the rocky islands in the middle of the river (some with/some without clothes). This time of year, it makes for a wonderful way to see a bit of nature while you are in the heart of the city. We enjoyed our last tastes of sunshine, as we anticipate the cold days ahead.
