The Jardin d'Acclimatation

Saturday morning at the Jardin d'Acclimatation. We took the train into the park on one of the first warm spring Saturdays in Paris. It is a great old school amusement park in the Bois de Boulogne. You can take a train into the park where there are rides, and carousels, games, spider webs, slides, trampolines, horse riding lessons, mini-golf, a mini-driving range and a mini-zoo complete with Bears, Bulls, Pigs and Bunnies. A child's heaven. It also has the first kiddy pool that I have seen in Paris. Good to know for the hot, hot summers that we have.

On the teacup ride...

Sophia on the small trampoline - she enjoyed it so much we decided to try out the trampoline ride later in the day...

Finally - a swing in Paris. This playground is the only one we have found with swings. Our theory is that there just isn't enough space in the parks.

Sophia & her scraped up nose. She had a little bit of an accident on the astro-turf bottom of the (empty) wading pool - she missed a step on the edge - and fell on her nose & tongue. It was a bit of a mess, solved only by the arrival at the trampoline ride. 2 tokens for 7 minutes of jumping on your own trampoline (surrounded by pads on all 4 sides). Sophia was a little intimidated until she saw the little girl next to her jumping like crazy. She still can't jump on both feet, but can hop from foot to foot pretty well.
