A carousel for Sophia

After promising Sophia a puppet show after church, we were dismayed to realize that we had missed the start by 30 min, so she was consoled by the endless rides on the carousel at Trocadero.

Jan 2010 839 and she even got to ride the black horse (there is only one black horse on the carousel so it is a really big deal!)

Jan 2010 844 and she & Troy were able to check out the ice rink at the top of Trocadero (totally new from when we lived in Paris)

Zs at the tower

A trip to Paris is never complete without trips to the Eiffel Tower. We love the view from Trocadero, and always make sure to stop at the park on the way down the hill on the way to the carousel at the bottom.

A perfect way to end a great week!

Night photos...

Troy & I went for a walk along the Seine after a party on a barge the other night & decided to take a few photos with the tower in the background, with the hope that someone would offer to take one of the 2 of us together.
Troy with the tower from the river's edge.
Moya with the tower from the pedestrian bridge known for picnics on warm evenings...

The two of us with.... Nothing. Dark, black river with a couple of lights. Thanks lady.

Parks before vacation

As we wind down the last few days in Paris before leaving on our August vacation we have gone to quite a few new parks.  Sophia seems to be quite patient with our long walks, as long as we end up at a place where she can run & run…
