Bavarian day at school
Sophia loved wearing her costume, although she was a little confused as to why she didn't have a princess tiara with her "costume", and she thought her teacher's costume was so beautiful (it was satin).
We just loved her in it!

Alexandra at 5 months...
Alexandra is such an amazing child. She smiles at everyone! And so far, she will go to anyone, although I have my fears about that as she gets older & we aren't around any larger family group. Every time we are in group situations, I am constantly passing her off in order to get her used to other people!
She is such a joy, and we are having so much fun with her.
One of the more exciting things is watching her interaction with Sophia. She loves picking Sophia up from school & gets very excited as we are walking into the entryway. Alexandra smiles at all of the children, but saves her giggles for her sister...

Hop on Pop
Well not really hopping on daddy, but definately having a great time playing in the living room. Evenings when he is home tend to be a little loud & a lot crazy...

Sophia has always loved it, and I think Alexandra is running down that path as well!

Alexandra's new tricks!
This week has been a crazy one again. Getting down a new school schedule & trying to figure out naps in bed (instead of in a car seat) for a 4-1/2 month old is a challenge. However, Alexandra has kept us thoroughly entertained with her new tricks for the week.
She has been attempting to sit up from a laying down position, so I thought I would prop her up & see how she did sitting on her own.

Turns out pretty good - still leaning forward a lot, and I won't walk out of the room for a while, but bravo! (nice drool huh?)

Sophia was pretty excited for Alexandra, I just had to remind her not to put her arm on Alexandra's back as we were taking photos.
Did I mention she can put both of her feet in her mouth at the same time? Talented I tell you...

Then on Thursday as Sophia & I were eating dinner, I saw Alexandra watching us very intently, and imitating us chewing. After all of the problems we had getting Sophia to transfer to solid foods, I thought I would allow Alexandra a few tastes of rice cereal on her lips, and see how she did with the texture.
Turns out she likes to eat! The after the initial shock of something being on her tongue, the arms & legs started flailing about & she ate the entire bowl!

Alexandra gets the giggles
We had a great time in the hall the other night, with me holding Alexandra & chasing Sophia all over the place. Alexandra adores Sophia & it is a highlight of the day when Sophia comes home from school & they see eachother.

A tooty tah
Sophia came home from school on Monday with a new song from her Music class. I was laughing so hard, that she had to share it with Troy & we had to put it on video.
Enjoy...
(My favorite part is about 1 min in, when she asks "What are these called?")

Catch Up
So we have been traveling so much, and getting over jet lag, organizing ourselves for school, interviewing babysitters, trying to get involved with the school, dodging raindrops, trying to sleep, not sleeping, etc that the blog hasn't been correctly updated with photos of our life in the last couple weeks, as well as the last few weeks in Seattle.
I'm going back & adding posts with the appropriate dates, so if you are just looking at the last one you might have missed something!
There is something about September that inspires me to start again. It must be after 16 years of school, September is really the start of a new near & not January. It is really appropriate this year, as we try to establish ourselves a little bit more in Munich & enjoy life as a family of 4!
